The Nutty Family!
By Vanita, August 4, 2013
You are nuts… I often tell S and N, probably the only people I can call everyday.
With loads of love for chocolate, and my nutty family here goes my Brownie to score my brownie points!
Recipe:
Serves: 8-10
125 g dark chocolate (I simply used Hersheys mini’s since I did not want to sit down and break it in to pieces)
125 g plain flour
185 g dark brown sugar powdered
90 g butter cut in to small pieces
60 g chopped walnuts
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
- Preheat oven to gas mark 4. Line a square pan (8 inch)
- Melt chocolate and butter in a large heatproof bowl over simmering water. Water must not touch the bottom of the bowl. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat into chocolate mixture.
- Sift flour over chocolate, fold in lightly but thoroughly. Stir walnuts and vanilla essence.
- Pour into prepared tin and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool the brownies in the tin. Then un mould, remove paper and cut into squares.
Serving suggestion: Warm before serving and serve with ice cream and chopped nuts or sprinklers.
